Nike is no stranger to the sports scene. But their Nike 6.0 sub-brand for action sports only began in 2005. Nike 6.0 sponsors younger athletes early in their career with the hope that they become future champions, and those champions will give more credibility to the brand. Nike bought Hurley in 2002, but now Nike 6.0 is getting in the surfing business as well.
NIKE LEGACY GS

I do not like green eggs and ham. And I do not like green boardshorts from Nike. These shorts were a disappointment. I got a great deal on the Tropical Twist green/turquoise color on Nike's website, so I had to give them a shot. With all the money and technology that Nike has (and the fact they own Hurley), I thought these were going to be the best shorts I ever wore. There were not.
They are cut shorter and narrower than any pair I own, more like volleyball shorts than surf trunks. Ordering 1 size up may help, but then the waist might have been too big. They were very stretchy but also very rubbery, this is because of Nike's 'Hydra Void' water repelling technology. I just didn't like the feel of this material. The pocket was also tiny, half the size of my other pockets, you could fit half and iPhone in it and not much else. The only plus is that there are very well maid with no inseams and very well made flat stitched and taped outer seams. If you like a shorter, more streamlined fit in your shorts these would work for you, but otherwise you should consider a different pair. A price $125 (on sale $75) is just too steep for these shorts. I'll give Nike the benefit of the doubt and hope they can improve their surf gear in the future.
Pros: Very water repellent, extremely well made
Cons: Narrow and short cut, synthetic rubbery feel, small pocket, expensive
